Marc Kroon was born May 2nd 1995. He grew up in Loosdrecht, a small town in The Netherlands. He has been living at the local lake district for his whole life and this is where he picked up on wakeboarding too. His older brother and sister started riding, which made it almost inevitable that Marc wouldfollow along. And so he did. He started competing at the humble age of 8, together with Nils his brother. The first year competing, they shared the same board, which was bigger than Marc was himself. It didn't really matter, as they just had a whole lot of fun.

Slowly, but surely his riding evolved and at the age of 9 het sticked his first invert. After this happened, things took a turn and the competitions became a bit more serious. He entereddifferent competitions, including the Europeans and World Championships. In 2010 and 2012 he became European Champion and in 2013 he ended up 3rd on the World Championships. In 2014 Marc got seriously injured during a project for Red Bull. He was in hospital for several months, but he fought his way back and finished his famous Red Bull Project Wake Up Amsterdam and became 3rd on theEuropeans of 2015.

After having finished school Marcdecided to move to Florida to focus onwakeboarding. He qualified for the US Pro Tour several times and therefore he spent quite some time riding in the US competition circuit. He loves living and riding in Florida as the weather is so much better, the people are amazingly nice, and the American riding is just on a complete higher level. Nevertheless he is also still competing in Europe, at the Lowlands Tour, Flanders Open in Belgium, European Championships and of course the Dutch Nationals. He decided to follow school in the US as wel and in 2015 he finished High school and is now studying at Rollins College in Winterpark (Fl) Evening - so that he still can compete and train on the water daily.
